Meet Allycia

My career as a public servant began when I had the privilege of representing the citizens of North Carolina as an Assistant District Attorney in the First Judicial District. While serving in that capacity, I had the opportunity to hone my litigation skills by conducting misdemeanor bench trials and felony jury trials across seven counties.

Following my husband’s separation from active duty in the United States Marine Corps, he joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and we relocated to Las Vegas. We have two beautiful children and are proud to call this amazing cityhome.

Since working as a Deputy City Attorney, I have had the distinct honor of appearing in each of Las Vegas Municipal Court’s seven departments and am deeply familiar with each of our phenomenal specialty courts. I have handled post adjudication appellate work in the 8th Judicial District Court, the Nevada Court of Appeals, and the Nevada Supreme Court.

My election to the open seat in Department 2 will provide consistency and efficiency to the Court. I have the experience and organization to manage the fast-paced and voluminous daily caseloads while treating each Defendant, Victim, and Witness with dignity and fairness.

Though firm, I am thorough and reasonable recognizing the need to balance consequences with mercy as justice requires. I have earned the respect of current (and retired) judges, fellow prosecutors, colleagues from the defense bar, and community members. As your next Judge, I will continue to hold myself to the high standards necessary to maintain the trust and respect I have worked to attain.

As a passionate advocate for justice, I am running for judicial office to continue making a positive impact in our community. My experience representing you—the citizens of Las Vegas—in Municipal Court has given me the skills and knowledge to competently and effectively serve as your next Judge.

This election is about more than just a title.

It is about the future of our community. The decisions made in Las Vegas Municipal Court have a lasting impact on our daily lives. I am committed to putting the needs of our community first with fairness and integrity to ensure that justice is not just a concept, but a reality for every resident of Las Vegas that appears before me. My previous legal experience, dedication to public service, advocacy for public safety, and commitment to pouring back into our community make me the best candidate for Las Vegas Municipal Court-Department 2.

I look forward to earning your vote in our upcoming 2026 election and urge you to vote Murphy for Municipal Court!
